Glowbal Passport Completed!!


I finished my Glowbal Passport today!!  It was so much fun checking out all 7 locations!  Sanafir is still my all time fave, with Glowbal and Coast in a close second.  My latest visit was at Trattoria for $10 pasta night with Ignacio!  One of the best deals for pasta in the city for sure!  All pastas (except platters) are $10 every tuesday :)  As a thank you gift for completing my passport - I recieved a $100 Glowbal gift card :)  Woohoo!!  I'm also entered to win some other amazing contest prizes as well!  Here is what Ignacio & I ordered from Trattoria!

Ignacio & I both had friday off of work, and since it was so beautiful out, we went for a seawall stroll!  Ignacio found his new vacation house.


And also his vacation boat house.


He also tried to fit the pineapple in his mouth, but it looked more like he was about to eat the people.



Afterwards we headed over to The Calling to meet up with my babe & Jorge.  We all took advantage of their $6 special which includes a pint, and your choice of wings!  We had some drinks, and watched the sun go down.  It was a wonderful friday!








I also got my new Luxebox!  Christmas is March :)

Im gonna put on an iron shirt and chase the devil out of earth

A week of firsts with my babe!!


Kenyo & I went to Glowbals latest - Black & Blue to get our 6th passport stamp!  We are now one away from completing it!  We started off with a round of drinks.  I ordered the Blood & Sands cocktail as I thought it would come on fire like in the picture - but it doesn't :(  Ken ordered a Hemmingway, and it was sooo good!

I ordered the French Onion soup to start which was sooo yummy, and cheesy!


Ken had the tableside Caesar Salad.  It looked so cool having them prepare it in front of you from scratch.  I would of ordered this - but I thought it would have bacon.  It did not have bacon.


For my main I had the Lobster Louie salad.  This was really good, & had lots of lobster meat.


Ken had the daily Surf & Turf deal which he did not like.  First he did not like that his steak was served cut up in chunks at a steakhouse.  He wanted to cut it himself.  He ordered his steak well done, and it came out medium.  We had to send it back, and some of the chunks still came back medium-well.


All week long I had my sites set on having a sundae - and I even saved room for a sundae.  But then the waiter informed me that they had just removed it from the menu :(

Come monday, Kenyo & I celebrated another first!  We made our first pizzas together!  I went shopping at Bosa foods for ingredients and bought fresh dough to bake.  For our first pizza we used truffle pesto, wild mushrooms, artichokes, bruschetta & fig goat cheese & lobster truffle oil.

For our second we used basil pizza sauce, apple gouda smoked turkey sausage, sundried tomato, jarlsberg & aged white cheddar cheese.  Last minute Kenyo decided he wanted to add some breaded chicken & egg. 





My favorite was the pesto one, although both were quite good!

Tuesday we went to Sanafir, and had our first Daybed experience together!  We reserved the daybed upstairs looking over the lounge downstairs.  Normally I know what I want at Sanafir - but this time they had a new menu!!!!

We ordered the Duck Proscuitto, Grilled Octopus Harrisa Salad, Black Pepper Calamari & the Duck & Lobster Paella.  My favorite has to be the Paella!  The duck was so tender, although the lobster was a bit overcooked.  On tuesday Kenyo & I will collect our last passport stamp at Trattoria!!

Realness is an act that you cannot rehearse

Happy St Pattys Day!


To celebrate St Pattys, my day started with lots of NCAA March Madness.  After my first game, I met up with Ignacio at Italian Kitchen to collect my 5th Passport stamp for Glowbal!  We both ordered the lobster and crab monte cristo panini - mine without pancetta.  I loved that it had so much lobster and crab - but I wish it was a bit firmer as it was so soft we both had to knife and fork it.

Afterwards, Igancio & I headed over to The Mill to watch some March Madness and have some $3 beers.  Every Canucks game day, all Whistler beers are on for $3 all day.  My favorite was the Whisler Whisky option!



Afterwards, Ignacio & I met up with Jorge, Marci, & some others for a late night dinner at Toyoma.  I tried sake for the first time!  I had it warm, and it reminded me of hot apple cider.


We ordered lots of dishes.




I loved the oysters, and the gomae the best :)  Hope everyone had a great St Pattys!

Like a moth to a flame burned by the fire

Weekday Feast..


Thursday was like a massive day for chicken for me..

It started off with a huge spicy chicken burger with extra jalepenos at Burger Bar.. one of my lunch spots.


Later that night I met up with my mom in English Bay.  We checked out one of the Donelly Groups spots - The Calling for the first time.  I swear, they have one of the best deals in the city!  Every monday-friday from 4-6pm, they offer a pint of beer with 1lb of wings for $6.  You can choose from 3 types of beer, and 5 types of wings.  I ordered the hot ones, and an IPA beer.



Since we also wanted to use our 2 for 1 in the entertainment book, we ordered from their regular menu too.  I ordered a buttermilk chicken waffle sandwhich with side salad, and my mom had their gluten free blackened chicken sandwhich with side salad.  I really can't wait to go back for happy hour... especially since they have $3 house wine for the rest of March, all day, every day!

We'll be lovers for a lifetime

Date night at Coast!


Saturday night I wanted to take my babe out for some amazing seafood, so I brought him out to Coast.  It was also a chance for me to grab my 4th passport stamp!  Now I only have 3 more to go - with just over 2 weeks left!  We grabbed one of my favorite tables upstairs overlooking the downstairs area. 

To start we ordered a bottle of their house wine, and also ordered the Sable Fish, & Arctic Char, along with Grilled Asparagus with Prawn Mac'n Cheese.  I think my favorite was the prawn mac'n cheese!  It was so rich with the mascarprone gratin and I cant wait to try it again!
